I think she and Lionel would make a nice pair. I think what clinched it was
1) she shot Sam in the shoulder to get what she wanted
2) showed no remorse for sicking Gordon on the boys (when she could easily have taken 30 seconds to warn them & apologize)and only back down when Dean threatened to kill her.
Since she killed someone related to her . . . I'm OK with her saying that the man/woman had it coming for doing something bad but I don't want her to suddenly pour on the waterworks.
It's not quite the same thing but while Quark showed signs of caring for his brother & other family members, he always remained a Ferengi. I think making Bela someone warm & cuddly would be like making Quark human, which is a betrayal of his characterization.
